David has handled matters involving disputes in contracts, major oil and gas casualty matters, transportation, environmental, mass tort litigation and maritime casualties, insurance coverage disputes (primary and excess) and the defense of numerous Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, Defense Base Act, Texas Non Subsubscriber and maritime personal injury cases. David has actively advised clients regarding partnerships, real estate transactions, wills and trusts. David has practiced in State and Federal Courts throughout Texas and Louisiana and is admitted to practice law in all State and Federal Courts in both states. He is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, Ninth and Eleventh Districts and the Supreme Court of the United States.

David was born in Galveston, Texas and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. David also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. David is a member of the faculty of the University of Phoenix where he teaches Business Law and other related courses. David is a member of numerous community and industry-related organizations and is a life member of the Houston Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Foundation, Texas Ex Students Association and the NRA. David is an Eagle Scout.

David’s family resides in the Houston Heights and are members of St. Anne’s Catholic Community.
